Abstract

Wood is one of the many important materials in our daily life. This study was conducted in CV. Jatim Baru to research about the preservation of wood. Therefore, to understand how wood is preserved, we observed and interviewed some of the workers at CV. Jatim Baru. The research continues on the internet to wrap up our project and finalized it with guidance from our educator. The results of this causality analysis we conducted show that wood is preserved by cutting, aerating, boiling and drying it. Wood drying is a process of reducing the moisture content in wood until it reaches its balance with the environment. Preserving wood requires a long period of time and some difficult processes, but it could make the wood more durable and protect it from fungi and bacteria.
