Abstract

Paint is a product used to protect and beautify an object with or without color. Paint can be used on various object, for example to make art works, industrial coating, driver assistance, and act as a protector . As time goes on, paint are not produced with natural ingredients, such as binder, solvent, colour pigment, and additive.. These modern ingredients can be found easily in the market. So people can use it freely. Machines are required to use these modern ingredients. This machine will increase those ingredients, and produce a paint which is ready to use. On the other hand, ingredient such as solvent has electrostatic properties which can cause fire disaster if the particles rub against each other when being managed inside the machine. To prevent fire disaster, grounding application are used to neutralized the electron charge of the solvent and machine. This research were held in PT Warnatama Cemerlang which is located in Wringin Anom, Gresik. The research were done by observing the grounding system which was applicated inside the machine. Then, the data are collected and written on a piece of paper. Interviewes are interviewed to get additional information about the system. Result of the research is a conclusion about the grounding system. This research suggest that grounding system can be used to prevent fire disaster in paint making.
