Abstract
Tea is one of the most consumed drinks in the world, especially in Indonesia. In this study, the researchers specifically chose Teh Villa, one of the black tea producers in Surabaya. This study researched the profit of PT Karya Mas Makmur based on production cost and capacity each day, its production rate to achieve maximum profit, and the estimated monthly production capacity in 2023, along with its calculation in statistics. The researchers sampled the production cost, sale price, machine capacity, and work hours from the factory through an interview. From the research that has been conducted, the results suggested that PT Karya Mas Makmur had made at least Rp14.400.000,00 and at most Rp32.400.000,00 each day from production. In order to achieve that, PT Karya Mas Makmur must produce at least 120 cartons of TB-5 and TB-25 daily. Thus, the estimated number of weekly production capacity was 720 cartons for TB-5 and TB-25 each. Meanwhile, PT Karya Mas Makmur is estimated to produce 2.000 cartons in January, 1.300 cartons in February, 1.300 cartons in march, 2.000 cartons in April, 1.400 cartons in May, 1.800 cartons in June, 1.700 cartons in July, 1.600 cartons in August, 1.400 cartons in September, 1.200 cartons in October, 1.200 cartons in November, and 2.000 cartons in December. From the numbers above, the mean was 1.575 cartons, the mode was 2.000 cartons, and the median was 1.500 cartons. In the end, this study concluded that PT Karya Mas Makmur has fulfilled the number of production needed to achieve the optimum profit. Findings of this research suggest a need to identify more production costs, such as workers’ wage, machine care, electricity bill, along with production and distribution tax. Keywords: tea, Teh Villa, cost, profit, price
