Abstract
As demands for poultry meat rapidly increase (118,017,161 tons in 2019, according to data from FAOSTAT), feed producers need to comply with Indonesia’s economy to stay afloat. In order to keep up with demands, feed producers need to provide efficient and effective ways to supply the industry. Thus, finding its nutritional compositions, enzymes and its effects towards livestock is important. Else from some prior research, we went to PT. Indochem, a feed company, to further enhance our knowledge regarding this topic by interviewing and observing the factory. The research shows that the chicken feed produced contains many different enzymes such as xylanase, phytase and many more with specific nutrients to break down. Aside from that, it also contains antibiotics that help stimulate growth within the chickens. These results show that many enzymes and nutrients play specific roles needed in chicken feed to have chickens grow more efficiently and effectively. Key words: poultry, enzymes, chicken, feed
