Abstract

Studies have been conducted on the research of the biological sector to determine and prove the relation as well as the solution between the production of foam and waste of product. In detail, this study focuses on informing the eleventh grader, the 6th math and science class about the manufacturing plant waste as the main problem, which will be inspected in this research. This research visit was carried out offline on February 15 to directly observe both the manufacturing process and theoretical explanation. The study was done by doing a visit to the manufacturing plant and observing the manufacturing and waste treatment process by interviewing the people in charge of the production. From observations and interviews, it can be concluded that CV. Gesalunda utilizes the rest of the foam making from the big one into small pieces. Eventually, these small pieces will be transformed and recycled into hard foam which is usually delivered to customers as a waist therapy tool. To sum up, several benefits can be taken after doing research at CV. Gesalunda such as improving the reader’s view of manufacture and the foam industry in general, comprehending how the foam industry works in the field of production and distribution, distinguishing types of waste produced by the foam industry, and ameliorating the society’s view of the waste treatment process that is safe for disposal to the environment.
