Airplanes will always be the main choice for the community in choosing comfortable long distance transportation, realitively fast travel time, and affordable prices. Therefore, the condition of a good and comfortable aircraft is the main subject that must be considered to minimize the risk of accidents. The way to minimize the risk of accident is to inspect the aircraft. There are 2 kind of testing, Destructive testing, there are several methods, one of which is Eddy Current Testing. The aim of this study is to find out how to dtect aircarft damage using Eddy Current Testing. This research study was conducted through observing the object, seeing the staff demonstrating the tool, and interviewing the staffs in te MM, and aircraft maintenance facility. The result of the study showed that eddy Current could only detect cracks on thr surface of the material. When the crack was detected, it would change the eddy Current and raised a signal that exceeds the null point and lift off. This indicated that aircraft maintenance must be equipped with orther methods to detect damage in the inside of the aircraft so it would not endanger the safety of passenggers.
