Abstract
A tourism village is a rural area that offers an overall atmosphere of unique and interesting rural authenticity and has the potential to develop various tourism components. Including Bejijong Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency, is one of three villages located in the Kampung Majapahit Tourism Village area besides Sentonorejo Village and Jatipasar Village. Bejijong Village has many relics from the Majapahit Kingdom because of its location as the center of the Majapahit Kingdom, providing assets for Bejijong Village in its development into a tourist village. This study aimed to found out more about the influence of the origins of Bejijong Village on its development to date, as well as the influence of historical sites on the development of Bejijong Village as a tourist village. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method with literature studies, observations, and interviews as data collection techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out by doing data reduction, doing data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found that many historical sites in the Trowulan area were the main attraction of Bejijong Village. In addition, it was found that the culture of the people of Bejijong Village has been heavily influenced by Majapahit culture, which inspired tourists to learn more about it. The development of historical sites has progressed to the present. However, this development must take place in a sustainable manner in order to increase tourist attractiveness. Hence, the future research may explore more about tourism in Bejijong Village and how it impacts on Indonesian unity and integrity, so that other existing problems can be found including their solutions through Majapahit culture in Bejijong Village.
