Abstract
Bejijong Village is one of many remaining legacies left by the Kingdom of Majapahit. It was a very powerful kingdom that had a large territory, including the Mojokerto Residency. Trowulan which is a part of Mojokerto has a lot of remains from the Majapahit era, such as Candi Tikus, Candi Brahu, and Candi Bajang Ratu. This report was intended to be shown to the public eyes, and those who are interested about the history behind Bejijong Village as well as the effect and culture that Majapahit left to the village. This report was based on the information from doing interviews with the local residents. In short, Bejijong Village was formerly known as “Lemah Tulis” in the year 700 B.C. It got its name changed into “Bejijong” when the area was colonized by the Netherlands. The Kingdom of Majapahit left quite a substantial mark on the present residence which still affects them to this day. This could be seen from their main source of income which has been embedded in the local culture. We recommend for the future researchers to use this report as their guide to do further research within the area of Bejijong Village. Keywords: History, Majapahit, Heritage, Bejijong Village.
