Abstract

Candi Tikus, also known as the "Rat Temple," is an ancient temple complex located in Indonesia. This unique temple was discovered in 1914, and it has been a source of fascination for archaeologists and historians ever since. The temple is located in the Trowulan Archaeological Site, which was the capital of the Majapahit Empire from the 13th to the 16th century. The purpose of this research, which was called “Sejarah Candi Tikus”, is to explain Candi Tikus history and its use today. The writers interviewed Mr. Subandhi to deepen the writer's knowledge about this Temple. This research was held on 20 February 2023, 09.35-10.06 WIB. Today, Candi Tikus is a popular tourist attraction and an important archaeological site. The outturn from this research is that much of Candi Tikus history is still remembered. This means their long history has a very big impact on their well-being today. Next researchers can discuss more about the uses of rat temples today.
