Abstract

Rimba Raya Honey Farm is an educational vacation spot. This study aims to determine the honey making process. Data were collected by using direct observation and interviews with respondents using a structured questionnaire method. This research was conducted on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. The analysis technique that was used was a qualitative analysis technique. The results showed that the honey processing method at the Rimba Raya Honey Farm consisted of several stages, starting from the queen bee’s birth, harvesting honey, making Royal Jelly, to packaging. Rimba Raya Honey Farm will be a great educational vacation spot for those who want to know more about honey and the process of making it since they show people how honey is actually made from the beginning where bees collect pollen to bring to their hive until the end of the process where the honey is actually edible and ready to be sold to the public. In conclusion, the honey making process starts when the bees collect the nectars and bring them to their hive. After the nectar is received and processed inside the bee’s stomach, the honey is collected by the bee farmer. The bee farmer then processes them using a decanting method until they are finally edible.
