Abstract

In this modern era, there are a lot of physics-related things that can be applied in our lives. One form of its application is in technology and machinery. Shrimp crackers are a type of food that requires several manufacturing processes using machine tools before it can be consumed. In the process of making shrimp crackers this time, five kinds of machines are needed, namely mixing machines, extruder machines, wet and dry ovens, boiler machines, heater machines. This study aims to answer three research questions; 1) How is the process of making prawn crackers carried out by UD Cipta Panganesia? 2) How is physics applied in the process of making prawn crackers by UD Cipta Panganesia? 3) How do the machines at UD Cipta Panganesia work? To obtain data, researchers used interviews to get answers to research questions. The researcher conducted interviews with the owner and founder of UD Cipta Pangannesia to clarify and obtain deeper data. Based on the research results, researchers can find out the process of making crackers, the application of physics in making shrimp crackers at UD Cipta Panganesia, and how the machine works. The process of making crackers is divided into three, namely the initial mixing process for crackers, the cracker molding process, and the cracker drying process. There are three physical sciences applied in the process of making prawn crackers, namely the thermodynamic system, Boyle gay-lussac law, and the boiler engine. The number of machines used in making UD Cipta Panganesia crackers is five and all of these machines have unique and different ways of working.
