Abstract

Amidst the pandemic, various industries have rapidly plummeted their production and profit. They experience bankruptcy due to economic inflation, loss of assets, changes in consumer behavior and many more.This has impacted the foam industry as well This study aims to elaborate the utility of CV. Gesalunda Foam which is able to reach the highest extent of profit. To test this hypothesis about the utilization of cheaper materials in production, a calculation will be made by using the linear programming technique to suggest the best efforts of maximizing profits based on the company's data. Based on the observation on-site and the perspective of the company’s speaker, the price of a sponge can be determined by the density of the sponge. The higher density makes the more valuable the price of the sponge is. The name and the optimal density of that chemical could not be disclosed because of the company policy, but based on that information we can create a function where x will be a type of sponge, y will be another type of sponge and x+y will be more or less than a quantity. Based on the research done in this paper, it is concluded that in order to receive the best prices and sales is to minimize the usage of expensive imported products with those more local as well as develop the formula offered in this paper for a larger profit margin.
