Abstract

The excursion study aims to familiarize students with the world of work and the application of physics in industry. The object of the excursion study to PT Sido Muncul, Tbk. is to discover the applications of physics within their production process. The production process in Sido Muncul encompasses several stages including ingredient selection, storage, quality control, mixing, extraction and packaging. Sido Muncul utilizes various high-tech machinery which helps create a quick and efficient process. Physics plays an important part within the workings of these machines. In order to find out more about these processes we conducted an online meeting with the PR branch of PT Sido Muncul Tbk. The session lasted for about 2 hours and included a presentation by the company’s representative and a question-and-answer segment. We were able to gather sufficient information from the meeting to create this report. The information has also helped us to better understand the application of physics within the world of work, specifically industry.
