Abstract

The excursion program, its purpose is to educate students and let them learn the application of science curriculum in daily life, specifically in industrial companies. There are four subjects in science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Our excursion group got the biology subject, so we have visited PT. Charoen Pokphand. At the company we analyzed how they manage their waste daily. We interviewed and asked the person in charge of the operation to get the data on how they manage the waste. The waste itself are processed through a machine, they checked it whether it’s environmentally friendly or not. They would know if it’s polluting the water, by checking it in a pond with a couple of koi fish. Koi fish is known for the vulnerability towards polluted water. If those fish are dead, the water is toxic. And if this happens they will process the water again until it’s environmentally friendly and ready to be released into the river. We can see that this company cares for the environment; they make sure that the waste does not harm and pollute the earth. Key words : waste, environmentally friendly, polluted, koi fish
