Abstract

Nglinggo Village is a village located in Yogyakarta. Nglinggo Village is very beatiful because the villagers take good care of their nature. Most villagers in Nglinggo Village are farmers because various kinds of natural products that are planted and produced give them a good return. With excellent human resources as well as abundant natural resources, Nglinggo Village becomes a tourist village that is visited by a lot of people. Therefore, a lot of effort is needed from the locals to preserve the existing nature. The purpose of this research is to learn about the soil, climate, natural condition and the situation of Nglinggo Village’s population. We also learn about Nglinggo Village’s culture to prevent natural disasters. For this research, we use mixed methodology so we can include both qualitative and quantitative data. Nglinggo Village is located on a high altitude ground. Because of that, most of the plants that the farmers produce are tea, coffee, and corn. There is also a connection between the farmers and breeders. The feces from the breeders’ goats are used to make organic compost. So, the soil in Nglinggo Village can always be fertile without any chemical substances. By doing all those research, the most important result is that we know about how the Nglinggo villagers live and we learn how they nurture and preserve their natural resources. From all of the data we got, we can conclude that Nglinggo Village is a village with a big potential and the villagers are very aware about the importance of nature perseverance. - Keywords : Morphology, natural resources, demography
