Abstract

Priyonggo, R. M. N. G., Ong, D., Poillot, M. J.,Tanusa, Y. E., et al.(2021). ​Statistics role in the industry. Statistics is a set of equations used to analyze data and solve problems. It is commonly used all around our daily life. For example, we can look at doctors in the medical field on how they keep track of treatment progress on patients. As senior high school students, learning about statistics is a part of our school curriculum. However, we probably do not even know the full extent of how statistics work and its importance in our daily life. With this reason stated, we as a group are trying to educate more students about statistics and it’s uses. Our plan is, we took data prescribed by the company and analyzed them to find out how it was being applied in the business process. From this study, we found out that statistics played an important role for the company by helping them deal with uncertainties using a method called forecasting, decision making by providing accurate estimations, and business planning.
